Potatoes, let me upgrade ya

Hey yall!! I wanted to share a quick tip to taking your mash potatoes to the next level. First off let me just say that I love potatoes, fried, baked, mashed, any way they come! They are normally a staple to every dinner. Mikey and I have been doing our mashed potatoes different ways for a while now. We still enjoy the original way of making them from time to time but this is what we do to upgrade them and add a little more nutrition.

Combine sweet potatoes with your regular potatoes. Boil them up together and continue making them the original way you would your regular mash potatoes. It is a delicious combination.

Another combination that we do is carrots and potatoes. Boil the carrots some before you throw in your regular potatoes because they take a lil more time to soften. We sometimes throw in diced up onions into the boiling pot. Mash them up and add a lil garlic salt to it and of course your regular amount of butter and milk. I'm telling you it is sooooo good!

Another added benefit...

It adds more color to your plate!:)

Hope you all have a great rest of the week, and enjoy trying out different combinations of mashed potatoes!

Restaurant Spotlight!!

What do you want for dinner??? Common question of the day, well it is for me. I start thinking about what I'm going to eat for dinner after I finish lunch! Yes yes I Love my food, if you haven't realized this by now. Normally if I eat something heavy for lunch I like to go with something light for dinner, and vice versa. One thing that I crave pretty much 24 7 is fresh veggies. I am not even joking, I LOVE my veggies! Good job Mom! So what place for dinner has an amazing variety of fresh veggies?? Big Chow Grill! Not only does it have this, but it has everything I love wrapped into a perfect meal that I CREATE!!

The best thing about this place is that you can be the chef of your dish. They have a bar lined up of every possible veggie that you would want to put in a stir fry. Whether you want white rice, brown rice, or noodles they have it all. Then they have tons of different sauces to add to your base of veggies and noodles. You then grab another bowl and pick out the raw meats that you want and then they have so many different spices of your choice to add to that. You then hand both bowls to the cooks, they stir fry it up and bring it out to your table!

My favorites stir fried up into one heavenly meal! Mmmmmmmm

Located at the Cobb Galleria, and locally owned and operated. Call up your friends and grab Lunch or Dinner there asap!!
